Good to catch up with you at the alumni luncheon last summer.

I’ve been ensconced at Parallax for several months now. And I have to say, while my predecessor’s studies on hypnosis were groundbreaking initially, it’s clear to me that the institution has stagnated from the mid-fifties onward. As a result, some staff members appear resistant to change.

Professor Taylor is particularly loyal to Elsworth. This may become problematic, but given his vast psychiatric experience, it is my hope he will become reinvigorated by the new programs I will be initiating in the coming months.

The CIA director has indicated I will have free rein to inject new life into Parallax. To that end, I’d like to extend an invitation to you to join me here as an engineer. I’m most interested in your use of microchips. Certainly, your focus is on veterinary applications, but I’m confident your technology can be of use on the Subjects still remaining in the Parallax program.

We have in the works a unit involving virtual reality that may interest you also. I look forward to discussing this offer further with you. I believe some truly exciting and innovative times are ahead of us at Parallax.
